Product Area: Server Technical Area: Directory Services Platform: Cross Platform
SPR# KGAI585QZ7 - Removed the LDAP Full Text Search limit from 5000 to unlimited.

Technote Number: 1108500

Problem:
If the LDAP server is a Domino directory and the names.nsf is full text
indexed, the LDAP server will limit the returned results to 5000 entries.
This issue has been addressed in Domino 5.0.12 and 6.0.1, where the 5000
document return limit was removed making full text searches unlimited. To set
limits for LDAP full text searches, configure the LDAP configuration document.
Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.0.1 MR fix list (available at
http://www.lotus.com/ldd):
SPR# KGAI585QZ7 - Removed the 5000 document return limit for LDAP. It is now
unlimited.
To resolve this problem in earlier releases, delete the full text index on the
names.nsf database, making sure that the directory is no longer present
either(names.ft) and reboot the Domino LDAP server. More >
